A number of international organisations provide aid to developing countries. The United Nations (UN) and the European Union (EU) are two important international organisations involved in providing aid. As well as campaigning for human rights and helping to end conflicts in the world, the UN works to help poorer countries. It gives aid to developing countries through “specialised agencies”. You are going to find out about these agencies in the exercise below. |
